Two decades in potato research
He has been active for four decades in the field of potato crop research, technology development, establishment of original seed production system and horticulture especially in Nepal. As a senior scientist of the National Potato Research Program from 1995 to 2016, he has contributed for about 21 years in the improvement of potato varieties, original seed production and promotion of true potato seed (TTPS) technology. Khatri has contributed to the successful implementation of research projects and the development of farmer-useful technology in collaboration with various world-class organizations including the International Potato Center.
